Fleeing A Sinking Ship

People are fleeing New York and Chicago.  More than 1 million people moved out of the New York area to another part of the country since 2010, a rate of 4.4 percent, according to US Census records. The New York metro area is the most populous in the country, but its residents are relocating to Florida, Texas and the Northwest. Some 422,045 people have left Chicago since 2010, the second highest negative migration rate after New York.

Do you suppose high taxes might have something to do with this?
