Deliberations Continue In The Trial Of Student

Deliberations in the trial of Luke Andrews continue. Andrews is accused of pointing a loaded gun at a teacher at North Scott Jr. High School last August.

The jury was dismissed for the day and they will resume deliberations at 9 a.m. on Wednesday.

The prosecution and defense rested just before 10:45 a.m. Tuesday.

13 year old Andrews is charged with assault while using or displaying a deadly weapon, carrying a gun at school and attempted murder.

His teacher stated that Andrews pointed the gun at her and pulled the trigger but the safety was on. if convicted, Andrews will remain in the juvenile justice system until he is 18 years of a age. He would then return to adult court for sentencing.
