Two Muscatine Men Accused Of Trying To Drive Into Public Safety Building

Prosecutors in Muscatine plan to charge two men with terrorism after police say they tried to deliberately drive a car into the city's Public Safety building.

Police say 24-year-old Gilberto Castillo III and 21-year-old Marc Castillo got hung-up on some planters in front of the building early Sunday morning.

Officers arrested them almost immediately. In addition to terrorism, Gilbert Castillo is charged with criminal mischief, operating while intoxicated, interference with official acts and various traffic violations.

Marc Castillo is charged with criminal mischief and public intoxication along with terrorism Prosecutors are expected to file formal charges, perhaps as early as Monday.
