Illinois Considering Paying Off Medical Debt For Low-Income Residents

(Springfield, IL) -- Illinois residents could save nearly a billion dollars under a new plan.

Governor Pritzker is floating the idea of investing ten-million-dollars to pay off medical debt for 340-thousand low-income residents.

Cook County has already implemented a similar program wiping out 350-million in medical debt for over 200-thousand residents.
