You may have heard that this weekend the newly elected and very ill-informed Ukrainian government killed somewhere around 50 Russians.
The U.S. media does say that the dead guys were "militants" living in the Eastern part of the Ukraine. "Militants?" Try "Russian soldiers."
The price was paid this morning. A Ukrainian government military helicopter was shot down by a MANPAD. That's a Man Portable Air Defense missile. The regular Ukrainian militants do not have those hanging from a hook in the garage.
On, and there was a full General in the helicopter. He's dead. I wonder how the "militants" knew there was a General in the helicopter.
This is going to get even more interesting. Putin is paying attention.
