The Park Service in the District of Columbia had a dream on Earth Day in April of 2013, a dream that they could remove trash cans from the sites like the Iwo Jima Memorial, Great Falls and Roosevelt Island. When the trash cans were gone, their dream said, Americans was take their pop bottles, food wrappers and other garbage with them when they left.

They called it the "Trash Free Parks" initiative. Doomed to failure.

Do you think Americans will take their trash with them? Do you suffer from other delusions? Do you yourself work for the federal government and think people will obey your orders?

You ought to see the pictures. Trash free parks, indeed. More like "trash all over the place" parks.
