After months of denying they were snooping on the Trump campaign in 2016, the FBI now says they were "protecting" the campaign from Russian intrusion.
The government paid the "intruder," a 73 year old retired college professor, over $400,000 to "protect" the Trump presidential effort.
There was no "spying" whatsoever. They were just helping out.
