DAVENPORT, Iowa - A winter storm will impact eastern Iowa, northwest Illinois and northeast Missouri with both accumulating snow and a wintry mix from this afternoon through Tuesday evening.
A Winter Storm Warning has been issued for much of eastern Iowa and northwest Illinois, where heavy snowfall and blowing snow is expected.
Northwest winds will increase to 20 to 30 mph with gusts over 40 mph Tuesday, resulting in extensive blowing and drifting snow.
Rising temperatures will change the precipitation over to rain for a period tonight over northeast Missouri, southeast Iowa and west central Illinois.
