Bernie Sanders, candidate for president, today renewed his call for "medicare for all." This has been tried in many countries. Venezuela, Russia and China come immediately to mind. It doesn't work. Mr. Sanders says his plan is different.
Mick Jagger of Rolling Stones fame is proof of the pudding. He ignored the National Health Service of England and flew to the United States for heart surgery. Why? Because of the quality of care provided in this nation. He did not fly to Canada, France, Germany, Sweden, China, Russia or Venezuela.
