CHICAGO, Illinois - Charles McFee is sentenced to seven years in federal prison for selling 16-year-old Desiree Robinson of Chicagto to a pimp for $250. He admitted he picked the girl up intending to collect a finder's fee from the pimp.
The girl was offered for sex on Backpage.com by the pimp, Joseph Hazely, and later murdered by a man who paid to have sex with her.
McFee pleaded guilty of trafficking in April.
Hazely was convicted of trafficking the teen in a jury trial and sentenced to 32 years in federal prison.
The girl's mother is suing Backpage.com for facilitating the girl's prostitution, leading to her murder.
