McDonald's is testing voice-activated equipment to place an order at a restaurant outside Chicago. The knowledge that this was coming gives little comfort to high school students today.
That "starter" job at McDonald's will soon be occupied by a computer or a robot. The computer takes the orders. A robot cooks the food. Another robot takes it to your table. A third robot cleans the floor.
The service will be faster and more efficient.
