Traffic was shut down near Mound Street and River Drive Friday morning due to a water main break.
Water could be seen rushing from the area. Police blocked traffic as a safety precaution for drivers. Mound Street apparently buckled all the way across.
Davenport Public Work crews were called to the scene to get the situation under control. No word on how long repairs will take or if any homes or businesses remain without water service.
