A body pulled from the Mississippi River on Sunday is that of 23 year old Jeremy Swiatek. He was recovered around 3:30 Sunday afternoon.
Authorities say Swiatek was last seen on September 12th leaving Billy Bob's, a bar in Rock Island.
Swiatek's body was found near Kelly's Landing in Andalusia near the Andalusia Harbor.
Swiatek's family spent the weekend handing out fliers and the believed that he was in the Quad Cities area for work. According to family members, housekeepers at a hotel Swiatek was staying reported him missing after they noticed he had not been staying in his room.
It is not yet known how Swiatek ended up in the river and the investigation continues.
