Galesburg, Illinois - A 14 year old student is accused of taking her teacher's car that was parked in the lot of Galesburg High School last Friday.
The teacher told investigators that the student was being disciplined and was told to sit at his desk during the last period of the day. The teacher later noticed that his keys were missing and so was his car.
The teacher called police and with the help of OnStar, the vehicle was located traveling east on I-80 near Waynet, Illinois. Police than called in that the vehicle was stolen.
The Illinois State Police located the vehicle and tried to stop it. That led to a pursuit. The vehicle eventually was involved in an accident on State Route 351 off of I-80.
There are reports that one person involved in the accident was taken to a hospital with unknown injuries.
The investigation continues.
