DAVENPORT, IOWA - Another shooting in Davenport sends officers to the 1700 block of Calvin Street at 12:40 a.m. Sunday.
KWQC TV6 reports that officers received a description of the suspect's vehicle and officers found it near Central Park and Clark Street. While trying to make the traffic stop the driver took off and that led to a pursuit. Officers were able to perform a maneuver and stopped the car on Telegraph Road and Pine Street.
Inside the vehicle were two juveniles. The driver, a 17 year old was charged with several traffic violations. The passenger was another 17 year old.
Back at the crime scene on Calvin Street, officers did find a gun and several shell casings.
There were no reports of injuries but a police cruiser was damaged during the pursuit.
The investigation continues. This is the fifth shooting investigation for Davenport Police in 5 days
