Arrest Made In 2018 Hit-And-Run In Bettendorf

BETTENDORF, Iowa - Bettendorf Police have made a second arrest in a three vehicle accident back in 2018.

KWQC TV6 reports 36 year old Christina Nolen of Moline was arrested on active warrants that were issued last April. Those warrants are from the Bettendorf Police Departments.

This stems from an accident last December on State Street. Police say two vehicles were in an accident and both drivers had to be airlifted to hospitals. A third vehicle involved in the crash fled the scene.

An investigation determined that a 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix was that third vehicle and they were able to identify Nolan as the driver. Witness say there was a case of road rage prior to the crash.

Nolan is charged with serious injury by vehicle, failure to report an accident, speeding, reckless driving, no insurance and driving under suspension. Last May, police arrested 25 year old Vera Clay of Davenport in connection to the accident. She had warrants out for her arrest and was charged with serious injury by vehicle, speeding, reckless driving and had no insurance.

At least one of the drivers injured continues to recover from serious injuries.
