DAVENPORT, Iowa - One person is dead semi-pickup accident on I-280 in Davenport around 8:30 Wednesday morning. Another person was seriously hurt.
KWQC TV6 reports police say it happened just north of the Locust Street exit. Officials say that the truck lost control, crossed the median and went into the opposite lanes when it was hit by a semi.
There were two people in the pickup and a female passenger died at the scene. The male driver was taken to a hospital and then later air lifted to the University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City. The semi driver was not hurt.
Names of those involved have not been released.
