Davenport Man Faces OWI Charges In A Car-Semi Crash

MILAN, Illinois - No one was hurt but a Davenport man is facing driving under the influence charges after an accident Tuesday night.

KWQC TV6 reports Illinois State Police responded to I-280 in Milan around 7:20 p.m. A semi-trailer in the westbound lane was passing a 1991 Nissan when the driver of that car swerved to miss a chunk of ice that had fallen off the truck in front of him. 53 year old Stanley Grzyb told police he then lost control, hit a guardrail, spun around and hit the trailer on the semi.

Grzyb is charged with driving under the influence and improper lane usage.
