The names of two people killed in a weekend motorcycle crash have been identified.
The Clinton County Sheriff’s Office says 63 year old David Boettcher and 61 year old Vickie Boettcher, both of Lowden, Iowa, were killed in the Saturday afternoon crash.
The Sheriff's Office says around 4:15 PM, deputies were called to 290th Avenue and 205th Street for a crash with injuries. Deputies say the motorcycle was southbound in the 2000 block of 290th Avenue when it left the roadway and entered the west ditch, hitting a fence.
Neither David Boettcher nor Vickie Boettcher were wearing helmets, according to deputies. The crash remains under investigation by the sheriff’s office and the Clinton County Medical Examiner’s Office.
