An outbreak of COVID-19 has been reported at a long-term care facility in Clinton.
Health officials from the state and Clinton County say three cases have been confirmed at the Eagle Point Health Care Center, and that their families and staff have been notified.
The residents are in isolation. The state health department says they're continuing testing of residents and staff at the center.
"Protecting the health and well being of the residents and staff is of the highest priority,” Clinton County Public Health Director Michele Cullen tells KWQC-TV 6. “We know our older population is at the highest risk for serious COVID-19 illness, so we are monitoring the situation carefully and taking the highest precautions to prevent virus spread.”
