(Kewanee, IL) -- A Kewanee man is behind bars, charged with possession of child pornography.
The Kewanee Police Department says an investigation into suspected child pornography and solicitation of a minor led to the arrest of 39 year old Jeremy Debord. He faces two counts of possession of child pornography-photos, one count of possession of child pornography-moving depictions and one count of indecent solicitation of a child.
According to a press release, an initial complaint was made to the Illinois Department of Child and Family Services on December 21st. It was forwarded to the police department, which began its investigation. Investigators say detectives obtained a search warrant for Debord’s electronic data storage and found several images of child pornography, along with evidence that Debord was soliciting a minor.
Debord is being held in the Henry County Jail on a $100,000 bail and has a preliminary hearing scheduled for Monday.
