(East Moline, IL) -- A person is in custody after police say they lead officers on a chase through Davenport.
East Moline Police say just before 10:30 Tuesday morning, officers were called to the 1300 block of 9th Ave. for a report of gunshots. Investigators say officers then spoke with witnesses and reviewed video surveillance from the area.
A vehicle fitting the description of the one seen in the surveillance video was soon after spotted by Davenport police, but the driver fled as they attempted to stop it. Police say the vehicle was eventually stopped with the driver, and sole occupant, taken into custody. It is unknown at this time if this is the same person involved in the shooting incident.
No one was injured in the shooting incident in East Moline and police say there is no further threat to the community.
