SNL Rips an Alum

The sexual harassment allegations wracking virtually every segment of society predictably surfaced on the latest episode of Saturday Night Live, but the New York Times notes that the man currently in the crosshairs made the show's approach "especially delicate." The show pulled no punches in the case of Al Franken, the Democratic senator and SNL alum who has admitted groping and forcibly kissing a woman on a 2006 USO tour. 

Appearing next to a photo of Franken grabbing the sleeping woman's breasts, Weekend Update co-host Colin Jost said,  "Sure, this was taken before Franken ran for public office, but it was also taken after he was a sophomore in high school. It’s pretty hard to be like, 'Oh, come on, he didn’t know anything—he was only 55.'"
