Baby Monitor Captures Uncle Killing Three-Year-Old Niece

A three-year-old Kentucky girl was allegedly murdered by her 33-year-old uncle and the shocking crime was captured by a baby monitor. When Josephine Mia Bulubenchi's father, Benjamin, overheard his young daughter's cry for help, he bolted out of bed and ran to her room where he discovered that Emanuel Fluter had slit her throat. Benjamin was cut as he attempted to take the knife away from Fluter, who was subdued and taken into custody.

Josephine was rushed to the hospital, where she died from her injuries the following day.

Fluter had been living with his sister's family for a few months and investigators are still trying to determine what caused him to kill the young girl. They said there were four other children in the room at the time of the attack.

Clinton County Sheriff Jim Guffey said that the murder was the “most horrendous crime” he has seen in his 15-year career.

Fluter was originally facing charges of first-degree assault and wanton endangerment, but after the girl passed away, the charges were upgraded to murder.
