Governor adds five more counties to state disaster declaration

After touring western Iowa flood damage Sunday and Monday, Governor Kim Reynolds added five more counties to the 35 others on a state disaster declaration.

Crawford, Delaware, Page, Palo Alto and Tama counties are the five newest on the list.

The designation allows governments access to state resources to respond to the disaster.

It also makes a $5,000 grant available to low income Iowans who meet the requirements.
