Flags at half staff today to honor Iowan killed at Pearl Harbor

BARNES CITY, Iowa- Flags will be at half-staff in Iowa until sundown today (Friday), to honor a fallen U.S. sailor.

Seaman First Class Wesley Jordan of Deep River, Iowa was killed on the USS Oklahoma December 7th, 1941 during the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. He was 23.

His remains have been returned to his family in Iowa, for burial today (Friday) in Barnes City with full military honors.

Graveside burial with full military rites will be held this (Friday) afternoon, after a procession led by the United States Patriot Guard.
