No Confederate Railroad Concert At The DuQuoin State Fair

The southern rock band Confederate Railroad will not be playing at the DuQuoin State Fair. The band was set to perform on August 27th.

KWQC TV6 reports the Office of Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker canceled their performance stating they will not use state resources to "promote symbols of racism."

Confederate Railroad's logo is a steam locomotive with Confederate flags. The band released a statement that they are disappointed by the decision. They were scheduled to play with the groups Restless Heart and Shenandoah and Confederate Railroad wants the show to go on without them. Their statement read they do not want to see another act lose pay because of this decision.
