Galesburg, Illinois - Galesburg residents are invited to meet their new Police Chief Russ Idle.
There will be a short Meet the Police Chief Open House on Monday, September 16th at the Galesburg City Hall. This is before the start of the regular City Council meeting.
Idle started his career in law enforcement with the Galesburg Police Department 25 years ago. He has served as patrol officer, sergeant, lieutenant and captain. Idle was sworn in as chief last Monday.
The Galesburg City Hall is at 55 West Tompkins Street. The Open House starts at 5 p.m.
