Andalusia, Illinois - The Andalusia Elementary School was evacuated today after a gas leak. Students were taken to a park where they got on buses that took them to Rockridge High School Parents were notified they could pick their children up there.
The superintendent told KWQC TV6 a crew boring for a fiber optic line hit an abandoned gas line that still had gas going through it.
There were no injuries reported. All of the students were picked up safely.
