Macomb Man Accused Of Attacking Walmart Employee

MACOMB, Illinois - A 43 year old Macomb, Illinois man is facing a long list of charges after police say he attacked an employee at the Walmart on E. Jackson Street around 8 Thursday morning.

Police arrived and found the suspect, Duane Gosa standing at the service counter. Police say Gosa and the employee had an altercation in a restroom and a short time later Gosa confronted the same employee.

A video shows that Gosa threw the employee to the ground and pulled out a knife. Gosa can be seen sitting on the employee's chest.

The employee was cut on the arm and chest and suffered a number of bruises. Those injuries required a trip to a hospital.

Police say that Gosa put up a struggle before he was taken into custody. He was booked on aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and aggravated assault. Other charges are pending.
