Man Accused Of Pistol Whipping Victim Inside Davenport Home

DAVENPORT, Iowa - A Davenport Man is charged with assault while displaying a weapon and a felony charge of going armed with intent after an incident Tuesday night on West 6th Street.

Davenport Police were called to the home around 8 p.m. after a report of shots fired. Officers were also informed that the suspect, 29 year old Terrance King had struck a person in the head with the pistol.

KWQC TV6 reports witnesses told police that King brought the handgun to the house and showed it while assaulting the victim. Police say at some point a round was discharged in the house. Witnesses identified the attacker as King who was found a short time later. Police say King refused to cooperate.
