Murder Suspect Arrested In Davenport After Police Investigate Armed Robbery

DAVENPORT, Iowa - A man is sitting behind bars in Davenport accused of 1st degree murder and robbery out of Des Moines.

KWQC TV6 reports that 20 year old Calvonto Stallings was arrested early Sunday morning. In a news release, Davenport police were called to an armed robbery on Brady Street just before 2 a.m. It took police about a half-hour to locate Stallings who was then taken into custody.

There were also warrants for Stallings' arrest out od Des Moines. Police there say Stallings is the fifth arrest made in the murder of 23 year old Rashid Ibrahim last month.
