Bellevue, Iowa Student Suspended After Authorities Investigate Threat

BELLEVUE, Iowa - Police in Bellevue, Iowa are investigating a threat made against the high school.

They received information of the threat Sunday evening that a student had made a threat against the school. KWQC TV6 reports the student lives outside the city limits and the Jackson County Sheriff's Office assisted with the investigation.

Authorities contacted the student and his parents. They also took evidence from the home.

The student is under temporary suspension and charges are pending.

Classes were held as normal on Monday as law enforcement did not feel there was a threat to students or staff.
