BURLINGTON, Iowa - Eight people were arrested in a investigation that involved both federal and state officials in Burlington. The focus was on drug trafficking.
Five of the suspects were arrested on Tuesday and made their first court appearance today.
Those arrested were Kendrick Page, Breon Raquon Armstrong, Lamar Harris, Tristan Davis and James Lewis Miles Jr. Search warrants were served in Iowa, Illinois and in Texas. Others involved were previously arrested in Iowa and in Illinois.
If convicted, those charged face between 40 years and life in prison.
