THOMSON, Illinois - The federal prison in Thomson, Illinois is holding a hiring event on Saturday, December 14th. They are looking to fill more than 100 positions that range from corrections officers to medical staff and other positions.
KWQC TV6 reports it will be held at the AUSP Thomson Training Center at 1100 One Mile Road in Thomson.Applicants need to bring a resume and two forms of identification.Applications will be accepted between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.
There are approximately 400 people working at the prison that has a population of 750 inmates.That number is expected to jump to 1,000 and the extra staff is needed.
there is another hiring event scheduled for Tuesday, December 17th from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Training Center in Tomson.
