CNN holding Des Moines pre-caucus town halls with candidates

Democratic Presidential Candidates Participate In Presidential Primary Debate In Des Moines, Iowa

DES MOINES, Iowa - CNN is holding another Iowa event with Democratic presidential candidates before next month's caucuses.

The leading contenders will take part in town halls one week beforehand that will take place at Drake University in Des Moines.

The hour-long town halls will air in prime-time on CNN January 28th and 29th.

The first night will feature Bernie Sanders, Pete Buttigieg, Andrew Yang and Tom Steyer.

Joe Biden, Elizabeth Warren and Amy Klobuchar will take the stage on the second night.

Each of the seven candidates will hold separate one hour town halls in front of the audience at Drake University. The telecasts will feature the same six that appeared in a debate at the same location last Tuesday, along with the addition of Yang.

The town halls could present a scheduling conflict for three senators in the race. Sanders, Warren and Klobuchar are required to be in Washington for the Senate's impeachment trial of President Trump, which starts next Tuesday, January 21st.
