Tip Leads To Arrest Of Burlington Man Accused Of Dealing Drugs

BURLINGTON, Iowa - For the past several months, detectives with the Southeast Iowa Narcotics Task Force and the Iowa Department of Narcotics Enforcement have been following up on a tip that someone was dealing drugs in large quantities in the Burlington area.

KWQC TV9 reports after several months of investigation, an arrest has been made.

On Thursday, law enforcement served a warrant in the 600 block of Higbee Street and arrested 51 year old Andre Sanders.

Sanders was booked in the Des Moines County Correctional Center for possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine, possession with intent to deliver marijuana, possession of a firearm by a felon and unlawful possession of an offensive weapon. He is also will be charged with six warrants out of Des Moines County that include possession of a firearm by a felon.

The investigation continues and more arrests are expected.
