Iowa man accused of shooting at cops pleads guilty in federal case

DES MOINES, Iowa -- An Iowa man accused of trying to kill police officers last fall is pleading guilty in the federal case against him.

Randall Comly of Stuart pleaded guilty to possession with intent to deliver meth, using a gun in a drug trafficking case, and being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Comly shot at cops as they tried to serve a search warrant at his Stuart apartment last October.

Two officers were hurt in the shootout.

He'll be sentenced in the federal case in June, and could face life in prison.

Comly still faces a long list of state charges.
