Arrest Made In Davenport Stop and Shop Armed Robbery

An arrest has been made in connection to a March convenience store robbery in Davenport.

Investigators say 23 year old Tyrees Trayvon True, of Davenport, robbed the Stop and Shop at 2920 W. Locust St. just before 1:30 PM on March 23rd. According to a court affidavit, True, whose face was covered, displayed a firearm to the clerk, demanded money, and left on foot with between $700 and $800 in cash. Surveillance video showed True getting out of the rear passenger seat of a gray Nissan Pathfinder before the robbery. A co-defendant, who was not named in the affidavit, was also seen in the video.

True faces charges of first-degree robbery, a Class B felony punishable by up to 25 years in prison, and conspiracy to commit a forcible felony, a Class C felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison.

Court records show he has a preliminary hearing Friday. True is jailed at the Scott County Jail on a $25,000 cash-only bond.
