A garage is considered a total loss and a family was displaced for the night after a fire broke out early Monday in Moline.
Just before 12:30 Monday morning, the Moline Fire Department was dispatched to a structure fire in the 1400 block of 11th Street. Once on scene, fire crews found a fully-involved detached garage and live power lines on the ground.
The fire was under control in about 15 minutes with crews remaining on scene to perform overhaul and began an investigation for about three hours, according to the fire department.
Damages are estimated at $100,000.
No injuries were reported, but residents could not go back into the home due to damage caused by the incoming power line, mast, and meter.
The cause of the fire is undetermined at this time, according to the fire department. Additional damage to structures and property at two other locations was reported, according to the fire department.
