Illinois State Board Of Education To Distribute Over Two Million Masks

Just about every student in Illinois should be able to get a face mask from the state. The Illinois State Board of Education on Thursday announced that it is handing-out two-and-a-half-million masks to start the new school year.

That would be enough to make sure every one of Illinois' nearly two-million students gets one. ISBE says it is shipping the masks to local schools this week.

Not every child will get one soon, however. Many Illinois schools are starting the new school year with online classes.

Wearing face coverings is a requirement for all students and teachers in Illinois schools this fall.
