(Bettendorf, IA) -- Two people killed in a Thursday morning house fire in Bettendorf have been identified.
The Bettendorf Police Department says 66 year old Robert Wickham and 5 year old Taylor Treanton died at the hospital of smoke inhalation. A third person, 63 year old Mary Wickham remains in critical condition. A fourth person who was in the home at the time of the fire, 18 year old Jodd Wickham, was treated and released for minor injuries he suffered.
The fire is still under investigation. However, police do not currently believe it to be suspicious.
Crews were alled to the home on Riverview Lane around 5:40 Thursday morning. Once one the scene,crews found fire on the split-level home’s main level, which had also extended to the back of the home.
The fire department said Jodd Wickham escaped on his own and reported that the others were still in the home. Crews found Treanton and the Wickhams and brought them outside for care and transport.
