State of Iowa to Launch Rent and Utility Bill Assistance Program

(Des Moines, Iowa) -- The state of Iowa is starting a new program to provide assistance with rent and utility bills.

The Iowa Finance Authority program starts next month, and will use $195 million in federal funding.

The program can provide assistance for up to a year for those who qualify. However, it is not available to residents in Polk County, who should instead should look into the IMPACT Community Action Partnership.

Currently all appointments for the IMPACT Community Action Partnership are filled, but new openings will be available on March 1st.
