(Iowa) -- Iowa Attorney General Tom Miller will seek another term.

Miller made the announcement at the Polk County Democrats Annual Steak Fry. Miller was first elected Attorney General in 1978 and held the position until 1990 after an unsuccessful run for Democratic nomination for governor.

He was re-elected in 1998 and has been the state's attorney general ever since, making him the longest-serving state attorney general in the country's history.
