(Rock Island, IL) -- Babies and toddlers in and around the Illinois Quad Cities will need to be tested for lead under a new state policy.
The Illinois Department of Public Health is expanding the list of high-risk ZIP codes that require mandatory testing for lead exposure.
Children in newly-added ZIP codes including Rock Island, Henry and Whiteside county will now need to be tested at 12 and 24 months of age.
