Eastern Iowa Expecting Up To 8 Inches Of Snow Wednesday

(Davenport, IA) -- The first major winter snowfall of the season is expected in eastern Iowa tomorrow.

Up to 8-inches of snow is possible in some areas, significantly impacting travel.

National Weather Service Meteorologist Dave Cousins says that heavy snow will fall at some impressive rates of up to an inch-per-hour tomorrow afternoon affecting the commute home.

Drifting snow could also be an issue into Thursday.

Snow is expected to start as early as 10:00 p.m. tonight near Cedar Rapids and move east towards the Quad Cities by midnight.
