ROAD RAGE LEADS TO CHARGES: In October, a victim was driving northbound on I-74 and another vehicle was behind her, tailgating. The suspect vehicle got in front of the victim and traffic slowed to a stop on the bridge. The suspect exited his car, walked to the victim’s car and without warning, punched her in the head. The suspect in this crime has been identified as Jarquiz Sutton (pictured) who is from the Chicago area. The vehicle he was driving at the time of the crime was stolen. A warrant for Aggravated Battery has been issued for Sutton’s arrest in this case. It is believed he is back in the Quad Cities area at this time.
UNCLE PETE'S BURGLARIZED: On November 2, Moline Police took a report of a burglary to Uncle Pete’s, 3629 Avenue of the Cities. The entrance door glass was smashed using a small hatchet which was left behind in the business. Video showed the suspect enter and pull a cash register to the floor. He then put a second register on the floor and attempted to open both of them. The suspect picked up one of the registers and left with it. He was inside the business for only one minute. The register the suspect left with was located on the street in the 1800 block of 40th Street Court in Moline. Video showed a light colored minivan dumping it out of the sliding rear passenger door as the vehicle was moving. The suspect is described as possibly being a male black in his early 20’s wearing a light colored coat.
FELONY RETAIL THEFT AT JB HAWK: An unknown female suspect described as in her 50’s, 5’7” tall, slightly overweight, came into JB Hawk Discount Tobacco and Vape located at 180 19th Avenue, Moline shortly after they opened on October 21, and requested 6 cartons of cigarettes. She was in the store for about 15 minutes before asking for another carton. When the clerk turned around to get it, the suspect grabbed the 6 cartons off the counter and fled the store without paying. She got into a black SUV (possibly a Trailblazer) and left southbound on 2nd Street. Full retail value of the cigarettes stolen was $432.
WANTED SUSPECT MICHAEL CHRISTOPHER LEWIS: Lewis is wanted by the Scott County Sheriff's Office for a Parole Violation on 6 counts. He is listed as armed and dangerous and having violent tendencies.
WANTED SUSPECT AERICK RICHARD SHAFER: Shafer is wanted by the Bettendorf Police Department for Domestic Assault With Injury, False Imprisonment and Burglary. He is listed as having violent tendencies.
