SHOTS FIRED IN EAST MOLINE: On December 2, officers were dispatched to the area of 2nd Street and 16th Avenue in East Moline for a report of gunshots. Officers arrived to the area and located numerous shell casings in front of 227 16th Avenue. There was also damage to the residence (PICTURED ABOVE). The residents were home but where not injured. A witness heard the shots fired and observed a white vehicle with two occupants driving westbound on 16th Avenue, with the passenger window rolled down. Officers have not yet identified the suspects in the shooting.
THEFT AT 7-ELEVEN IN EAST MOLINE: On November 27, officers were dispatched to 7-Eleven, 3017 Kennedy Drive in East Moline, in reference to a retail theft that had just occurred. Police say the customer (PICTURED ABOVE) came into the business and was going to purchase a frozen DiGiorno pizza, Chex Mix, and a 2-liter bottle of Mountain Dew. His card was declined and he tried to call someone to get the pin number. The customer then asked the clerk for the phone number to the store. When the clerk turned, the customer grabbed the items and ran out of the store, northbound on Kennedy Drive. The suspect is a white male wearing a green stocking hat, brown sweatshirt, black coat with white stripes running down the arms and blue jeans. The suspect appears to have a short, stocky build and is clean shaven.
CAR BURGLARY AT MOLINE YMCA: On November 9, police say someone entered the victim’s vehicle while it was parked in front of the YMCA in Moline and stole her purse. The victim contacted her bank and found that someone had used her debit card at the Shell station on Avenue of the Cities. She also learned someone attempted to use her credit card at Target in Davenport to purchase over $400 worth of merchandise. The transaction was declined. The person who used the credit card was captured on video surveillance (PICTURED ABOVE).
