Iowa School Performance

The Iowa Department of Education says there are 28 schools in our area that need to make improvements. If you're wondering how your kid's school measures up against other schools around the Iowa side and across the entire state, there's a new website you might want to check out.

The No Child Left Behind Act is dead. Long live something called "the Every Student Succeeds Act". This federal education law requires states to show how their public schools are performing. Just head to https://www.iaschoolperformance.gov and plug in your kid's school and you'll get a report card packed with all sorts with information on how our kids (and their schools) are doing.
