The Davenport Civil Rights Commission held their monthly meeting on Tuesday and it was executed exactly like all the recent meetings before it - four new commissioners present, plus a few of the displaced ones, and yet there somehow was no quorum for a meeting. After a discussion about the pending legal filings related to the Mayor's replacement of commissioners last year, the group departed the meeting room without any discussion of any of the agenda items.
The agenda's "new business" section continues to grow because nothing is getting done at these meetings.
No one knew the status of the legal filing, by the way, including the person who filed the lawsuit.
Over $500,000 taxpayer dollars per year fund the Davenport Civil Rights Commission.
